My goal is always to achieve a high level of realism so I work from one photograph which I strive to bring to life. I prefer to paint on wood panel because I find the smooth surface allows for greater detail but I am happy to paint your portrait on canvas if you prefer. Unless you desire a specific background, the background color and value is chosen to compliment the natural colors of the subject's coat.​
